StoneSong is a welcoming space nestled in the Allegany Mountains of Western Maryland where we are inspired to open and deepen our connection to Nature and each other through experiential activities and personal empowerment. It includes a beautiful farmhouse overlooking 23 acres of luscious land, a renovated barn that serves as a retreat center, and a few other outbuildings. Nature has bestowed StoneSong with a pond, a small creek, trees, flowers, and abundant wildlife while a community of good friends has built a fire circle, a sweat lodge and nature trails. Other great community projets are currently in progress.

StoneSong hosts workshops, retreats, sweat lodges, drumming circles, and also, simple weekend get-aways for individuals, couples, or groups looking to restore and strengthen themselves while being immersed in a peaceful and enchanting mountain valley. We invite facilitators, teachers, musicians and elders to share their gifts through those events year round. We are also committed to offering a safe refuge to native forest, watershed, and wildlife. We actively participate in a Forest Stewardship Plan with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. This plan has been developed to help us manage our forest in an environmentally conscious manner and grow as stewards of the land.

Come and roam this land. Sit by the campfire. Watch a shooting star. Listen to the wind.

Woodlands, meadows, streams and stones provide a unique setting to rest ourselves in a way that might open us to new ideas and growth. This land sings out a song of invitation to come together in contemplation, exploration, and awareness to express our best selves, to learn more from each other, to simply remember.
We offer comfortable accommodations and delicious meals for individuals and groups during our scheduled events or by appointment. Green Ridge State Forest, the second largest of Maryland's state forests with 44,000 acres, and Rocky Gap State Park are literally our next door neighbors. Several other state parks such as Deep Creek Lake, Swallow Falls, New Germany and Savage River -just to name a few- are a short drive away.
